Thank you for choosing FedCash® Services. We are excited to work with you to make this a smooth transition. The steps outlined below will help streamline your implementation process. If you have questions throughout the process, contact your local FedCash Services contact.

Step 1 — Select Service Options

Step 2 — Assess Access Needs

Use the following links to determine which solution provides the services/features your organization needs, and the number and type of Subscribers in your organization who will need access to the solution.

Step 3 — Review Rules and Regulations

Federal Reserve Financial Services use is governed by applicable Operating Circulars (OCs). In addition, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System has responsibility for implementing certain laws pertaining to a wide range of banking and financial activities. The following apply to FedCash Services.

Operating Circulars

  • Operating Circular 2: Cash Services — governs the ordering and depositing of cash.
  • Operating Circular 5: Electronic Access — covers terms for electronically accessing Federal Reserve Financial Services

Governs the ordering and depositing of $10 and $20 notes efficiently.

Currency Quality Program

Outlines standards set for determining if used currency will return to circulation after fitness sorting.

Provides information on steps required to validate the identity of your organization's staff members.

Step 4 — Review Setup and Processing Documentation

Implementation and user guides and other resources are available to help you through the start–up process, as well as to help you use the service to its fullest potential.

Step 5 — Review Hardware/Software Requirements

Evaluate all internal software/hardware systems and compare to Federal Reserve Bank requirements to determine if changes are needed for a successful production cutover.

Step 6 — Complete Forms/Agreements

Now that you've determined the appropriate solution, service features and Subscriber needs, you can proceed to document all your decisions in the required forms.

Current FedLine customers:

  • An End User Authorization Contact (EUAC) should submit a Subscriber request via the EUAC Center within FedLine Home, requesting to modify your access to include FedCash Services. EUACs must define access levels for each FedCash Services Subscriber in your organization. It is critical for your organization to have credentialed staff available.

New FedLine customers:

Step 7 — Congratulations! Begin Using Federal Reserve Financial Services

You can begin ordering and depositing cash with the Federal Reserve Banks.
