Conference Connection: Advancing payment innovation at fall 2026 events

This fall, Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) is excited to participate in conferences across the payments landscape. Our representatives will be on hand to discuss the evolving instant payments ecosystem and FedNow® Service adoption milestones, cutting-edge approaches to payment security and fraud mitigation, innovations in payment system interoperability and ISO® 20022 messaging, the intersection of artificial intelligence and financial services, and the collaborative partnerships driving the next generation of payment innovation.

MAG Payments Conference 2026: Sept. 27-30, Nashville, Tennessee

The MAG Payments Conference (Off-site) convenes payment professionals to discuss industry trends and operational excellence. FRFS will participate in discussions about instant payment innovations, risk management best practices and the evolution of the U.S. payments infrastructure.

Sibos: Sept. 28-Oct. 1, Miami

Sibos (Off-site), an international financial services conference, brings together global payment professionals to discuss the most pressing issues facing the industry. In line with this year’s theme, “Digital finance for AI-driven economies,” topics throughout the event will span payments, security, technology and more. FRFS representatives will engage in these conversations and more at our booth #I004 and during speaking sessions throughout the week:

  • Governor Christopher Waller will share his insights on the state of artificial intelligence in payment systems, focusing on the potential for AI-driven efficiency gains in international payments and emerging models of agentic payments
  • Join Frank Van Driessche for multiple sessions on ISO 20022 implementation and the way forward
  • Bernadette Ksepka will participate in multiple industry sessions discussing instant and cross-border payments

Jack Henry™ Connect: Oct 19-21, Kansas City, Missouri

Dan Gonzalez will connect with community and regional banks to discuss the FedNow Service, including On Behalf Of arrangements, send capabilities, and ongoing fraud and scam mitigation initiatives.

American Bankers Association Annual Convention: Oct. 25-27, Salt Lake City

The American Bankers Association Annual Convention (Off-site) gathers leaders from banks of all sizes to address key challenges and opportunities. Join Mike Timoney on Tuesday, Oct. 27 as he discusses addressing payment scams with a panel of other fraud experts.

AFP® 2026: Nov. 8-11, Las Vegas

Bringing together corporate treasury and finance professionals to explore cash management, payments and risk strategies, AFP 2026 (Off-site) will take place in Las Vegas this year. Bernadette Ksepka will join a panel discussion on how instant payment send capabilities can benefit treasury and finance teams.
