Discover how the FedACH Exception Resolution Service can help
Beginning April 1, RDFIs will be required to respond to an ODFI Request for Return within 10 banking days of receipt of a return request. This expands the use of return code R06 (ODFI Request for Return).
The FedACH Exception Resolution Service offers a secure, efficient ACH exception resolution option to all financial institutions and can be used by ODFIs to initiate an ODFI Request for Return case, including the ability to attach supporting documentation.
Key benefits of the Exception Resolution Service
- The Exception Resolution Service securely delivers case information, including attachments and delivery confirmation to the RDFI
- The ODFI can submit cases for items processed via either ACH Operator
- The ODFI Request for Return case automatically routes to the RDFI without providing an RDFI contact
- The RDFI can respond to the request within 10 banking days and attach supporting information
- The Exception Resolution Service provides enhanced tracking, reporting and management of outstanding ACH exception cases
- The Exception Resolution Service archive provides a fast and easy self-service option for reprinting documentation, tracking and reporting compliance with Nacha Rules
Enroll in the Exception Resolution Service as a full-service participant to initiate an ODFI Request for Return or general case. Both full-service and partial-service participants can respond to cases at no cost.
