Fedwire® Funds Service March 2023 Release Testing Requirements & Availability

The Federal Reserve Banks have established the testing requirements as summarized in the table below. A targeted communication was sent to notify those participants and service providers that meet the criteria for mandatory testing in the Depository Institution Testing (DIT) environment. Those participants and service providers will need to complete their DIT certification by December 16, 2022. Any DIT certification requests after this date will be handled on a case-by-case basis. DIT Testing Availability

The Federal Reserve Banks made the tag {8200} changes available in the DIT environment on April 6, 2022 for all Fedwire Funds Service participants and service providers to start testing. Please view the 2023 DIT testing calendar and use the DIT Fedwire Application Test Request Form to sign up for testing. On the test request form, please select “Other Testing” for Testing Type and indicate “Tag 8200 testing” in the comment field at the bottom of the form. Production Testing Availability

Production testing will not be required, but one Saturday will be made available for those participants and service providers who wish to test the tag {8200} changes. Please view the 2023 Saturday Production Test Schedule. If you plan to test in the Production environment, please sign up for testing and select “Other Testing” for Testing Type and indicate “Tag 8200 testing” in the comment field at the bottom of the Production Application Test Request Form.
