Conference Connection: Joining the payments industry for the fall conference season

As the fall 2022 conference season ramps up, we are excited to engage with our colleagues in the industry at events and conferences across the globe. These events are great opportunities to learn more about Federal Reserve Bank Services, hear from insightful speakers and make valuable new connections. Fed representatives are always enthusiastic to speak with customers about our financial services and advancing the payments system for all.

Sibos 2022

Sibos (Off-site) will return as an in-person conference Oct. 10-13 in Amsterdam. This financial services event brings together thousands of executives, decision makers, business and thought leaders from across the global financial industry. The Federal Reserve will participate in discussions about instant payments, collaborating on cross-border payments, enhancing risk and fraud mitigation and the adoption of the ISO® 20022 message format for the Fedwire® Funds Service.

Money 20/20

Money 20/20 (Off-site) will be held Oct. 23-26 in Las Vegas. This annual conference attracted more than 10,000 financial institutions and ecosystem participants in pre-pandemic years with sessions to inform strategic planning, technology and innovation. The Federal Reserve looks forward to informing attendees and generating excitement about its FedNowSM Service launch in 2023. Additionally, the Fed will continue to educate industry participants about Federal Reserve Financial Services payments strategy, synthetic identity fraud and the Synthetic Identity Fraud Mitigation Toolkit (Off-site).

Chicago Payments Symposium

The payments system is changing substantially, facilitated by innovations in information technology. The Chicago Payments Symposium (Off-site) provides an independent forum to learn from leaders from across the payments ecosystem and engage in open dialogue about the industry’s current state and exciting future. The 2022 Symposium will take place both virtually and in person Oct. 3-4 in Chicago. Insightful sessions and discussions will include instant payments in the U.S.; security, fraud and identity; digital currency and global payments. This year’s keynote speakers are Loretta Mester, President and CEO, Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland; Esther George, President and CEO, Federal Reserve Bank of Kanas City; and Blake Morgan, author ofThe Customer of the Future: 10 Guiding Principles for Winning Tomorrow's Business (Off-site).
