In the event of a service disruption, it’s crucial that your institution has immediate access to continuity resources. With that in mind, the Federal Reserve Banks created a Business Continuity Resource Center as a one-stop shop to help keep your institution running smoothly before, during and after a service disruption.
It’s simple to locate the Business Continuity Resource Center. First, click on or hover over “Resources” in the top navigation of FRBservices.org® then click on or hover over “Resource Centers” to select “Business Continuity” from the list.
At the top of that page, you’ll notice helpful tips to keep you and your staff up to date on procedures and best practices during a disruption. You’ll also see a link to the Service Status page where you can determine the operational status of Federal Reserve Bank Services at any time. If you need a refresher on how to use Service Status, a series of three videos is listed in the middle of the page. Each video is two minutes or less so take time now to watch them while it’s calm before the storm:
- Be Prepared Before, During and After a Service Disruption (Off-site)
- General Notifications and Messages on Service Status (Off-site)
- How to Access and Navigate Service Status (Off-site)
The next section of the resource center provides links to 11 Federal Reserve business continuity guides. It’s important that you and your staff become familiar with the information provided in these guides to ensure you’re prepared for the unexpected.
Action Item:
Bookmark the Business Continuity Resource Center for easy access and share the location and materials with your colleagues.
