Effective September 16, 2022, Nacha will implement the first phase of its new micro-entry rule defining and standardizing practices and formats. This rule applies to ACH originators that use micro-entries to validate accounts.
Phase one defines micro-entries as ACH credits of less than $1 and any offsetting ACH debits to be used for verifying a receiver’s account. ACH originators will be required to adopt the standard company entry description and follow other origination practices.
Check out Nacha’s Micro-Entries (Off-site) article for more details on the micro-entry definition and standardizations.
