FedACHSM platform modernization testing update

Note: This article was updated on June 3, 2020

The Federal Reserve Banks previously announced plans to modernize the platform used to support FedACH processing services. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 health crisis, we are still maintaining high-quality FedACH Services and investing in our Automated Clearing House (ACH) platform modernization.

This strategic investment in technology is designed to:

  • Enable new and improved FedACH transaction and information services
  • Reduce time to market for enhancements to our FedACH products and services
  • Demonstrate our commitment to modernizing our current payments platforms
  • Prepare for the future needs of payments in the United States

Testing

In recent months, the Federal Reserve Banks have performed extensive internal testing to ensure operational readiness of the new platform. The next phase will be to ensure your institution’s readiness. Information regarding testing will be shared in the coming weeks, and we encourage your institution to test in the new environment to help ensure your systems are compatible with our modernized platform. End User Authorization Contacts (EUACs) at your institution will receive an email notification when it is your time to test.
