Action required: Migrate before end of 61E VPN device connectivity support

We started the VPN Device Migration in 2022, as previously communicated. The migration requires all FedLine Advantage® and FedLine Command® customers to replace their current VPN devices (Fortinet FortiGate® 61E model) with the Cisco® C1111 model.

We are nearing the completion of this migration. Please note the following key dates and begin your migration to the Cisco C1111 model as soon as possible:

  • Beginning October 1, 2023, customers who have not completed their migration may be assessed a $400 monthly fee until migration is complete.
  • Effective December 31, 2023, the Federal Reserve Banks no longer will support FedLine® connectivity via Fortinet FortiGate 61E VPN devices.

What action do I need to take?

Migration installation slots are filling up quickly. If you haven’t done so already, we encourage you to begin your migration to the new Cisco C1111 model as soon as possible. The setup for your new VPN device will be similar to the setup for your current device and will require changes to your network/firewall settings. As with previous efforts, this migration utilizes the Connection Management Center (CMC). Available via FedLine Home, the CMC is the web-based application that EUACs currently use to place VPN device orders. Please note that a credentialed Technical Contact at your organization also can assist with completing the migration order in the CMC. However, an EUAC must start and submit the order.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The Cisco C1111 model does not allow multiple Cisco VPN devices to be connected to FedLine concurrently using the same public IP address. Each Cisco C1111 VPN connection must source from a unique public IP address. If your existing Fortinet FortiGate 61E VPN devices use the same public IP address, please work with your technical staff and Internet Service Provider (ISP) to set up unique public IP addresses for each new Cisco C1111 device before your VPN device installation date.
