The U.S. Currency Education Program (CEP) is responsible for ensuring that users of U.S. currency around the world, from businesses to consumers, have access to education, training and information about Federal Reserve notes. The CEP’s newest resource, the Cashier Toolkit (Off-site), is now available on uscurrency.gov (Off-site)! The toolkit serves as a comprehensive training guide to:
- Aid cashiers in quickly spotting counterfeit currency and authenticate notes
- Protect businesses from loss of revenue and emphasize the importance of following company counterfeit-reporting policies
- Provide detailed information about the security and design features of $100, $50, $20, $10 and $5 notes
Cashiers will also benefit from the quick reference PDF and quick reference card for use in their workspaces. In addition to the resources listed above, the toolkit also contains links to resources providing detailed information about the security features of older-design notes.
The CEP provides numerous other resources including the U.S Currency training course (Off-site) and Cash Assist (Off-site) app. Visit uscurrency.gov (Off-site) to download the cashier toolkit today!
