Forward Paper Check Clearing Services

Federal Reserve Financial Services’ Forward Check Clearing Services provide financial institutions with various products that allow you to deposit forward check items.

Mixed Cash Letters

Allows you to minimize the amount of sorting done by your institution. You can mix forward items (City, RCPC, Country, Other Fed, Treasury Checks, Postal Money Orders or eligible Savings Bonds) in a single cash letter for credit.

Exception Item Cash Letter

Allows you to place items in a cash letter that your institution is having trouble processing. There are two deposit options available for the Exception Item cash letter: items with carrier documents or items without carrier documents.
