Check 21-enabled services FedForward®, FedReturn® and FedReceipt® offers your financial institutions a suite of services to send and receive image cash letters electronically.

FedForward Services

Suite of services that allows you to deposit image or paper cash letters and the Federal Reserve Banks will clear and present items electronically or as substitute checks.

FedForward Image Deposit Service

FedForward Image Deposit Service Deposit option that enables you to submit an image cash letter of forward collection items the Federal Reserve Bank will clear the items and present either substitute checks or an electronic file to the paying bank. Deposit options include mixed, presorted, or fine sort image cash letters.

Accelerated Paper Cash Letter Service

Accelerated Paper Cash Letter Service Deposit option that enables you to submit a traditional mixed paper cash letter deposit for which you elect to have all items in the cash letter cleared as quickly as possible, using imaging and electronic clearing where appropriate and possible to accelerate availability.

FedForward Cull From Mixed and Other Fed Deposit Service

FedForward Cull From Mixed and Other Fed Deposit Service Deposit option that enables you to have items above an established dollar threshold culled from mixed and Other Fed paper deposits through Check-21-enabled services.

FedReturn

FedReturn Services allow you to deposit mixed image cash letters of return items and the Federal Reserve Banks will return either an electronic file or substitute checks to the bank of first deposit.

FedReceipt and FedReceipt Plus

FedReceipt and FedReceipt Plus Services allow you to use “straight-through” electronic check processing for a portion or all of your inclearings. This includes only those items drawn on your financial institution that have been deposited in image cash letters with the Federal Reserve Banks.
